HI everyone. Ok i am getting ready to upgrade to a 420 gallon tank. I have owned a 90 gallon for 2 years and only had 1 ich issue. Now what I am wondering is how should i setup this 420 gallon. I have no clue how strong of lighting i should be runnin. The tank is 36 high, 28 deep, about 80 something long.

Sorry I dont remeber the exact measurement of length. I am going to run a sand base and have around 450 Lbs of live rock. But I dont know if I should go with a trickle filter system or not! Pretty much i have the tank, rock and sand! Any other suggestions would be great.

    thnx

With that much live rock you shouldn't need a a trickle filter. Is this going to be a fish tank mostly or a tank with a lot of corals?

I am doing a half half mix, i would love to have a calm or 2, some soft corals, leathers mushrooms etc etc. I am pretty much open on everything! I just want to make sure i do everything right the frist time cause i will kick my own arse if i have to tear it down to rebuild
