tank size question.

    I was really nervous about this also but have a 75 gallon that is about 5 months old and it is doing just fine. I must admit when a bunch of people gather around to look at the tank it makes me a bit nervous...lol.

    No knocks on the people that have give you some sound advice here. Because it is good advice. BUT if you aren't sure and you are trying to avoid what would seriously be a disaster from that amount of water from the second floor, then dont do it.

    I have a 65 gallon tank w/20g sump on the second floor of an older building.

    Well a little up-date...It turns out the renovation was done only 8 yrs ago..got a hold of the architect who designed the add-on apartment.He says it should hold a few thousand pounds no prob..but to place it upagainst the wall anyway(like others here have said)..
    Well It looks like I will go for a 75 bow RR w/diy 20L fuge/sump...again thanks all for the imput....

    Keep in mind that the larger the tank. The more water you might have on the carpet if something goes wrong. Your neighbor below might not like it if your drain get clogged and the return pump spills everything from your sump onto the floor.
