tank temperature?

    in the middle of the night my tank is staying at 74 degrees and during the day it is at 76 Is this too cold?

    I would bump it up to about 78-79 during the day.. Thats what mine runs at.. It actually stays right around 78

    i agree with bama. mine with lights on , sits around 80, lights out 78ish

    What to do when you crank up the Halides and the temperature spikes??? Chillers are too expensive for me.

    can try fans blowing across the waters surface. one side affect , it wil lincrease evaporation.

    im thinking that the lights should stay close and i shouldnt use fans because im trying to warm the water temperature.

    do you have a heater? use that to regulate. if thats not working, you may have too small of a heater.
