    agree VERY bad idea. Not to mention the glare that will wash out the display on your LCD...

    Green treated 2x4, 4x4. Lowes sells great wood for building stands. You can use treated and stained finishing plywood for the surfaces or leave it a bare skeleton.

    Very Bad Idea! I have a picture of the GBR about 2' above my tank and it always gets the worse end of salt creep..

    i would use yellow pine for the legs, and a nice AB ply for the sheeting, i would not use PT for this as it has pesticides in the wood that could contaminate your tank...and bolt every thing together not nail as yellow pine is a hard wood and will split if not predrilled first.
