Tank with diy moonlights

    I decided to build a moonlight out of 7 leds i had in a little flashlight. I got a 6v calculator transformer and then cut slits in the cable and soldered the leds in. What do you think, is it too much light? I might color the leds blue with a sharpie.

    Good job! Looks nice.

    Might want to cut back to 4 leds, but maybe your idea of coloring them will cut back the light a bit.

    TESTORS model paint would be better for the blue ..Or just get Blue Bulbs

    Ill post pictures tonight. I colored the bulbs blue and it looks good.

    They will be lower in reality when my i build my canopy so the tank will light up more. Now there pretty far. I get alot of shimmering lines (like MH) which is pretty cool.

    Not bad for a $5 dollar project.
