120 gallon with base rock has been up for 2 weeks and had a damsel in for one. Ammonia 0 nitrite 0 nitrate 0 still. One block of frozen food fed everyday. Any ideas to kick start it?

No skimmer but it had wet dry for about the first week. Since the damsel went in the bio balls have been out.

i would leave them out maybe go with lr rubble from what ive read they can cause nitrate problems. you could possibly throw a few raw shrimp in their an wait couple days and test see if that does it

If you are feeding a block of food a day there is MORE than enough NH3 in that tank.... Are you sure your tank kit isn't void?

Granted you have a decent sized tank a cube of food is more than enough...
Why don't you get a couple pieces of live rock as well?
