    TIVO...haha!

This show could be great. But I second evolved's concern. My wife thought this hobby was easy, like many newbies. Now she understands it is not the easiest. I hope as well that this does not show only finished products, and not the work it takes to maintain.

I've seen the trailer a few times between my weekly viewings of Finding Bigfoot and River Monsters, and I'm worried it's gonna be real cheesy.

I reckon there is gonna be a boom in the sales of 50 gallon tanks and plastic coral decor. And you know after seeing a few episodes, every knucklehead in the US with a Scarface poster in his house somewhere is gonna seriously consider that shark tank he's always wanted.

Hopefully, It will make good PR for the hobby by showing people that keeping a tank is easy, but ONLY IF you take the time to do it right.

I just hope its cool and informative with a slight conservationist/environmental spin.

A company I worked for hired ATM to build us a 4' x 6' x 4' tank. I won't tell you the cost, but I will say the tank alone is double then what some cars sell for  It came with DIRT in the most visible seam. To this day you can see that tank with the dirt in the seam. Last time we used them. There are other solutions for large aquariums and they tend to be more professional, but well run companies with no attitude makes for poor TV ratings ;)

Myself rather see a show on corals or the tanks after they set them up. Really go indepth on the systems, maintenance, and requirements of inhabitants. They can always add the drama during acclimation lol.

Yah... like those 50/60/70's ones where they build it up with camera angels, aquariums and music :) No need for human social interaction drama

haha. That would be awesome. I can just see it now.

"This novice to saltwater aquariums incorrectly acclimated his puffer fish. Will it be able to survive without being burped after being exposed to the air?!?"

    "Find out after these messages."

I maintain aquariums for a living and have always thought that this would be an awesome idea for a TV show. My jaw was on the floor the other night when I was watching Whale Wars and saw a commercial for it. I will definitely be checking it out.
