Anyone catch the tanked show on animal planet last night? Some of the tanks they showed were amazingly huge.

Big Tanks Big Money. It was like Orange Cty Choppers for aquariums.

It seemed to be all fish only tanks, and the $30,000 qt tank with no hiding places, seemed like they need to be on 3reef for some better info.

I'm sure it'll be repeated 45 times a day and be OnDemand DBO (if you have cable).... you'll get your chance.

The show was about what I expected (agree w/ the OCC reference, dowtish).

I foresee a ton of folks buying aquariums over the next 3 months and being sorely disappointed when they hear about cycling a tank for a month or more and the whole "go slow, let it grow" thing.

On the plus side, in about a year there's going to be a TON of cheap used stuff on CL.

I missed it, it was on way too late for me but I DVR'd it. Hopefully I'll have some time tonight to sit and veg with it on. I'm a bit disappointed with the reviews but will keep an open mind!!

the shopping cart at the LFS scene was interesting. i'm sure more thought went into the selections than was shown but the show made it look like they were just walking down the aisles randomly sticking their nets in tanks and pulling out fish they knew nothing about.

Yeah I don't know how one can build and fully stock a tank in 2weeks without everything dying in the following week.
