tap water with 0.5ppm phosphate

    when i test my tap water in my new flat it show result of 0.5 ppm phosphate , is it ok for making reef tank is thise result is ok or i should try to find athor solution.:confused:

    you should get a reverse osmosis unit. i assume in suadi arabia they have copper pipes. the copper is poisonous to corals and fish. that should take care of the phosphate also

    also .5 is not ok for your tank. thats double the acceptable amount which is .2 really its good to have less then .05

    I'd find an alternative water source. Preferrably RO water.

    levels of 0.5 is way way to high you want them to be at 0.03 ppm thats where I run mine or less but if they get to this level I change out my reactor's media at 0.03 ppm
