Target feed black sun coral?

does anyone that have a sun coral target feed and if so how often? And mysis shrimp ok? Thank you

 

yepp, some crushed up shrimp should do the trick..also is you have phytoplankton, thats a good source of food, but make sure to not overfeed the phyto

 

Mysis Shrimp will do just great. Id like to say I feed mine alot LOL... But I dont. Probably once a week and then they catch additional food from some cyclopeeze every few nights.

 

to make it easier cut the top off a soda bottle so its like a funnel and put it over your colony and use a turkey baster and spray into that. it will help keep fish from stealing the food and allow the coral time to intake it.

If your system can handle it try to feed twice a week.

Initiate the feeding response by target feeding the corals a very small amount. Wait for at least 20-30 minutes until it is fully open and feed remaining food.

The funnel and turkey baster methods work well IME.

 

It should be able to handle it i think almost 50gals between my sump/fuge and wet/dry filter and its on a 75gal.

But i will try what you suggested to feed them thank you everyone

 

I would love to see a pic of the black suncoral open if you get one. I have never seen the black ones open.
