how do you target feed corals such as ricordia, mushrooms, and sea mats? right now I supplement direct in water phytoplex and I'm waiting for the arrival of zooplex. is this enough or is there something else i should do?

I dont target feed softies really... I use MarineSnow or DT's phytoplancton. I turn off the skimmer dump the stuff in and wait for about an hour before i start up the skimmer again. And everybody is happy and growing fast.

I don't direct feed either, unless we're talking about non-photosynthetic corals like suns and dendros. Ricordias, mushrooms and sea mats get plenty of food via photosynthesis and whatever fish food that they can catch.

Only some of the larger shrooms will eat on a regular basis. Most everything else feeds on light and perhaps a small amount of filter feeding. I would dose/feed the tank accordingly to size and bioload.

I have never target fed anything they will catch enough from the water currents assuming you have enough flow in the tank ? Just don't feed the tank to death and expecting to see the softies grow any faster. Less is best.
