Ok guys, we did our taxes and cha cha cha ba da bing ching ching ching $$$;D. Time for some much needed upgrades. Just cant decide on which brands or models ect. Some opinions and suggestions please. I have a 75g all sps tank with a corner overflow by the way.

Ok i have a koralia 1 from a previous 29g, a MJ900, and MJ1200. What i want is just 2 pumps that are low wattage to keep the heat down, but i want them to be powerful. Not blow the sand everywhere powerful but good flow. Or do you suggest 4 pumps? I like the ecotec just dont like the mounting design. I like the angle type pumps. I think i want to stick with koralia. The ones that are controllable. Maybe 4 with a controller?

Now I am playing with the idea of air injection. Ive seen some setups with it and the acros are amazing in these tanks. I have everything already set up just need a very precise timer, like one that will run my pump for 2 minutes every three hours ect. Any suggestions or links??

Also im looking for a light bulb that is a LED 5500k or better for my cheato. I have a clip on screw in CF bulb but when i keep it on 24hrs my temp goes up 2 degrees...I shut it off and temps go back to norm.

Also im looking for 12k probe start 250w mogul based metal halide bulbs. And good ones. I have old magnetic ballasts that i will change out when i move to a house. (I got a 210 in my storage unit...)lol. Then i will dip in my savings acct.....or borrow from my 401k!! HAHA

An aquarium Controller would be a good spend :), if looking at powerheads, a vertech mp40w es. :) cut down on the number of pumps in your tank.

Two Evolutions and a Reefkeeper Lite so you can put them on the wavemaker function. Mine have been running for two years now, thats 2,000,000 starts and stops at 30 second intervals!

With Vortechs you dont need them to pivot they provide random enough flow through the entire tank. But a controller is one of the best purchases i have made for my tank.

like said earlier, one mp40 will be more than enough flow for your tank.... and the cool thing with them is you can set it on a wave mode and it acts like a wave box...

also vortechs have a wide flow and very powerful... other powerheads have more of a jet stream flow, which is why you have to have them point different directions so you dont pound flow at corals...

Which one though? evo 1050? 1400? i have decided that i want 4 evolutions. It has to do with my aquascaping. I have "mountain peaks" that i would like water flowing around. So one in each corner is what i want as my personal preferance. And what controller? Lets say i have pump 1,2,3, and 4. Id want pump 1 and 3 to alternate with pump 2 and 4. This is a all sps upper half with minor Lps on the bottom 75 with a corner overflow. I know sps like high flow but how much. Oh btw AZ im getting that Maxcap lol. Just hope it fits under my bathroom sink til i get my home built!!

The 1400 is the same physical size as the 550, 750 and 1050 so go for the gusto. Its a SPS system and most SPS love flow.
