That looks fantastic! And like fischkid said, I'm never buying a stand again  If I buy a tank and it comes with a stand, I'll probably disassemble it (or never assemble it) and keep it as a spare, or keep it as scrap wood. I definitely prefer a homemade stand with 2x4's or other framing type of lumber when compared to this 1/2" ply box holding everything up. I just don't trust those types of stands, even if they are meant to hold up a tank full of water and junk.

Thanks. To be fair I did not build the stand from scratch. I just rebuilt it by replacing the soft wood. I also took the center supports (fronts and backs) and replaced them with 3/4 inch wood that I knoched with a router top and bottom for support. Then just painted with texture and new brass hinges and knobs.

    Thanks again

Thanks for the kind words. I really did not build the stand from scratch. See above post for a complete explanation

not completely but it will be a good start. I have some extra money budgeted for new corals and some rock but I will have a solid start. Maybe even a couple fish. First have to see what I need to get it going. Still need alot of new sand and a few other misc. items.
