I was not able to get much done yesterday. A little cold and too windy to use the spraygun to paint. I was able to replace some of the soft wood in the base and added a side panel to one side of the base to allow easier access to remove the sump or add things that will not fit through the doors. I figure should something go wrong underneath I will not need to remove the tank to get at everything. Sanded the base down and repaired the doors in the base. Also put some paint on the wood on the inside of the base to prevent mold and mildew. Just need the temps to rise so I can shoot everything with the new colors. Looks like I will have to wait until this weekend. Going to be rainy most of the week.

I am thinking about putting drawers in on one side behind the door to keep things together. 1 deep drawer and 1 smaller to keep the chemicals for testing ect. I think I can make it work. Will wait to see how much room I have underneath after setting up the sump.

Thanks for looking. No picks today the battery in the camera went dead. It is on the charger so I might get some pics up later. Not much to show though.

Thanks, I will definitely keep pics coming. Battery is fully charged. Will try to get some pics up tonight. The avitar is Ruger. He is a great dog. Only problem is if you slightly crack the pool bath door he can hear from the other side of the house and in seconds he is airborn over the pool. Our other dog Remmington is a Golden retriever. He is the same way.

We have a lab/collie mix and are on the adoption list at Love of Labs Indiana, Indiana Lab Rescue to get her a play mate. Our's loves to jump in the pond for a while, she is a great addition to the family.

Bad news my Green Mandarin died today. What a shame she was doing so well. She would have loved the new set up. She apparently jumped out of the tank and was laying dead on the carpet when I got in. Services will be held at 8pm then it will be a burial at sea.

On a different note. I am looking into the differnet types of overflow set up and need some ideas. I have been reading on the "herbie" method and also found some info on a closed loop system?? I am finding out there is more to this overflow stuff then I realized. Anybody have an idea where I can go to read up on the different systems? I need as much help as I can find. Have not had much luck finding anything on the internet.

My tank has 2 corner overflows.

Thanks for any help and thanks for looking.

thanks for the info. I will try again this weekend to get pictures of the other go cart for you. Was unable to get to my storage garage this weekend. Too many toys not enough room at the house.

Finally got some decent weather and was able to start putting the coating on the base. Doors should be done by the weekend for the base and then I can put it all together and get it in the house. Hopefully this weekend I will also get the tank all cleaned up and then get it put on the stand. Here are some pics of the progress for the base. Once the outside is completed I will refinish the inside with a base white to help protect the wood. I am doing the inside last because I am spraying the coating on. It can get a little overspray on the inside and i would have to paint again. As long as the weather holds out I hope to be done with the coating for both the canopy and the base this weekend.

    Thanks for looking,

I dont now about how efficent this guys but a guy just baught a overflow box and stuck a mag pump in it and ran the tubing to the sump.(the tubing was hooked to the mag inside the overflow). To me its a good idea but like i said im not sure on how efficent that is. just somthing to think about
