Nothing really on the tank itself. I did get the 34 gallon moved and brought the stand inside. the 180 is going to go in the same area the 34 was in. I did get the base around the bottom of the tank painted (used a roller) to match the new stand color. Picked up some needed supplies but the weather is still a little chilly to spray. Paint thickens up and doesn't spray well. Looks like I am going to have to make new walls for the overflow. Not real happy with the way these look. The tops are all broken up so I will make 2 new ones. Had put the walls in earlier today but did not like them and pulled them back out. Looking at using a smoked plexi glass 1/4'' thick (i think that will hold up) and will make them squares. The megaflow overflow kits are tight in the old ones anyway. It is taking a little longer then I planned but I am not in a big hurry. Rather take my time and do it right the first time. Once i get all the preliminaries done the rest should go quick. Also still reading up on sumps/refugiums so i can get the one that came with the tank set up right. Will probably go with a three chamber set up. One for the water to come in. One for sand rock and mangroves and then the last one for pumps/skimmer. Not sure yet.

    Thanks for looking.

I would like some input from the group. I have finished the doors for the base but am not sure what background to put on the centers of the doors. There are 2 ideas I am thinking of. Let me know what you think would look best. If you have any ideas I am all ears. See pics below

I think this would be nice it is actually a tank background I found. There are 3 doors and each door would have a different picture in it.

Please let me know what you think. Thanks for looking.

This is what the tank stank came with it is a silver colored cloth. Forgive the wrinkles. if i go this way i will stretch the cloth to fit snug and flat

This where it will go. Still have to center it on the wall but you get the idea

I thought of that but black does not go with anything in the room.

The sun came out and the wind died down so I got some of the texture done on the base of the tank. There is nothing on the stand to hide the base so I textured it. I also got the hinges and knobs on today. the tank is on a trailor so I can move it easily from in and out of the garage.

Thanks for looking. Next week the tank comes inside!!!!!

What about frosted glass behind the doors? So you can see when the fuge light is on, but not have to see thee equipment.

another block in the road. When moving the stand in the house and deciding where it should go I made sure to tell the wife where we put it is where it will stay. There will be no moving once filled with water. Now she wants to put a new floor down. Does anybody have a tank on a Pergo floor or would i be better putting tile down for the tank and the Pergo around it. This is going to push the build back a bit. if it is not one thing it is another. The new floor will take me at least 2 weekends including the trim. Also another bunch of money. thank goodness for tax refunds.
