Tear this up please....

Being the Moderator of the Water Quality and RO/DI forums on a couple different reef sites and being in the industry as long as I have, I have plenty of information on water treatment and quality. I have owned my own RO or RO/DI system since about 1990 and have gone through most of the brands and vendors found on these sites so have first hand experience, being anal like I am I kept logbooks on most of them over the years. It also helps that I am 1 mile from Watts Premier who has helped me test components in the past and 30 minutes from Spectrapure where I buy most of my supplies today. Working for one of the largest water/wastewater/environmental engineering firms in the Country helps too, we have experts who are much smarter than I am and are willing to answer my questions.

 

One thing that I give myself credit for at NASA is that I recognize expertise and am ready and willing to follow good advice. You convinced me on RO/DI and SpectraPure a year ago. I learned a lot. Seriously... YOU ought consider a 'standard write up' on water quality from various sources, the issues, contrasts and comparisons. You'd be FAR more persuasive than I and be able to back it with the experience and expertise.

Heck... I'd want to read that post. Getting something like that as a 'sticky' on the Water Chemistry forum would be awesome.

I used to have lots of them on RC before parting ways with them after 7 years, being a member of Team RC and 17,000 posts. I found a few new homes I like much better now though with no censorship issues.
