    Just bought a used but in good condition Tek 4x54w unit yesterday for 200 bucks with new Geissman bulbs, splash shield, legs, and new ballast talk about getting a great deal. The fixture alone without anything new would be like 288 ad in bulbs shield and legs and it gets pretty high up there.


    Well anyway I bring this sucker home and say goodbye to my powercompacts I put on the tek unit and turned it on and WOW.

    It is like I am seeing my tank the for the first time. It is the equivalent of going from a candle to the sun. I was going to buy a 6 bulb nova but after seeing how bright this thing is with only 4 bulbs I think I would've bleached my tank.
