Tek Lights are Godly

This is THE reason why I love MHs. I don't keep SPS.

 

You can get some shimmer effect by adding some LED moonlights. I have 1 per foot of tank length alongside my T5's. It's not as dramatic as MH's but for me it's the best of both worlds.

 

hmmm, I like the moon light Idea, a cheap way to get an exspensive look!


Buuut on the other hand I couldnt keep SPS. Altho I can keep a monti or two. Thats really what I want.

 

you can keep alot of sps with good t5 fixture depending upon tank dimensions.


edit: also a powerful t5 fixture will create a ripple effect wont beat halide ripple though

 

thats very true, you can really keep anything under t5's!!

 

My tank is realitivly deep at 20" I think, and The distance I have the lights above the water line so I can get in to do cleaning.


I have seen the ripple effect a few times with my T-5 Lights. (TEK). But ya Its not intense like a halide setup.

 

My teks make a sick ripple effect with the mp40w making waves it is a sweet sight to see i will make a video tomorrow.
