    I'll most likely end up with the T5s. They're cooler and I don't have/plan to have a canopy and that's fine with the Tek. I think I'll get over the shimmer effect when I'm staring at my corals night and day. I have no doubt that some people could run MH for that long without a chller. Fans and keeping the house at a good level would likely work. Anyway, thanks for the input guys, I'll miss the shimmer, but oh well. Maybe on a frag tank...

    Aren't they like $60? How many would I need to light up a 75? Also should I run them only at night or day/night with the actinics?

    Edit: Maybe I'll do LEDs on my college tank, but like I said, I don't want a hood on this guy.
