also why i like the tek, tank is in my room and it has no fans so no noise. The only thing thats loud is my skimmer, but im used to hearing trains go past my house as my house is right next to train tracks, so im used to the noise.

That's right, you have the tek fixture. Do you really like it? Do your corals seem happy? Let me know! :)

I have this fixture and it's great. You feel absolutely no heat under the bulbs because of the acrylic cover. Fans pull air across the bulbs to keep the bulbs cool which extends bulb life and keeps your tank cool.

yea i love the tek, just wish they had the lunars. I've only had my corals for a couple of weeks, but i just today i noticed i noticed i have a few new zoa heads, so im think they like it :D what i also like is that i can keep anything that i want with this light, no limitations to corals as far as lighting goes

that looks great, too! Ugggh, so many choices it's making my head hurt. :-X I didn't think the light would be the biggest stressor of my new tank!

    Awesome!! Go zoas!!

Yeah, I'm thinking I want a light that will have no restrictions, so I can do anything with my tank. Who knows where the future will lead me! :)

    Thanks for the info!

you can get the ones that come with the bubls. that's what i did. i ordered mine from reefgeek and their a great company. I didnt put any info about what bulbs i wanted when i filled out the forms and they suggest a bulb combo for me and i went with what they said.

I'd ask for opinions though, when it comes tome to replace, i may switch one of my bubls to fiji purple, i hear its a really nice

Reef Geek is awesome. I just ordered a new ballast from them yesterday. Greg knows his stuff.

He can help you with your bulb selection. You need to decide what coloring you want to end up with. A pure white, a little blue, or dark blue. From there, it gets easier.

Geismann, UVL, ATI are the bulbs you want.
