So I was sleeping on the couch last night and about 1 in the morning I'm woken up by the sound of my cooling fans kicking on over the 180. Wondering why the tank temp would be above 80 at night I jumped up to take a look at things when what do I see???

The temp on the controller was reading 121 degrees

This could only mean the probe had went bad so all day the tank has been without lights, one of the two heaters, and the fans have been running all day. To make matters worse I can't get a replacement probe for 4-5 business days.

    I can't catch a break lately.

It's a good thing I know a guy like Otty. He has offered to loan me his second temperature probe until I can get a new one in.

    Karma to you buddy!

No chit. I just started thinking positive thoughts about my tank this morning then had to stop myself! Too scared I would jinx it!

Scott I'm giving ya some karma too just cause your one heck of a guy! Folks, I'm not kiddin ya, when it comes to helping friends out they don't get much better than Scott... if he has it (and isn't using it!) then it's yours for the time being. Or in the case of my RODI, he just gave it to me. Amazing. Karma to you my friend!

Weird, I just threw in a thermometer today to check and make sure my probe is still on point. 3 degrees off from each other. I calibrated the probe to the middle of the two, not knowing which is correct. (thermometer is a cheapy...)

"Do unto other as you would have them do unto you"

Father always told me that but it took until I because an adult before I understood what it really meant. I would expect you guys would do the same...heck you helped me shovel about 5 ton of gravel in about 2.5 hrs in a wheel barrel shoving it uphill. :)
