Well I am currently cycling a 90gal tank live sand and established water but dead rock. So my question is does temp matter while cycling I have some snails in the tank only and all are well but I felt water being at around 64 should I run a heater and keep at a steady 78 or not worry and just leave alone. What do you think? Anyone with experience please share.

Bacteria grows quicker when it's warmer. So, definitely would keep it warmer. I usually keep it in the low to mid 80s for cycling.

All life, bacteria included, have conditions under which they like to live and multiply. It would be best to maintain whatever temperature you plan on eventually keeping it at so you grow the correct bacteria in the right numbers.
