Temperature Swings

    My guess is the halides are what is really making it warm in that room. What about a regular oscillating fan blowing in between the top of your tank and your halides? That may keep it from getting so warm during the day.

    No doubt thats the issue. Once the temp outside decides to stay somewhat level, I can control it better in my tank.

    I'm pretty much making a big deal of something that hasnt caused any visible issues with the tank inhabitants.

    Well so far it has not caused an issue that you can see. But maybe it has and you are just not seeing it yet. Or maybe it never will ha ha ahh aha. I would think that 4 or 5 degree temperature swings daily would do something.

    Do Oceans temp swing that much daily or is it much more gradual over weeks? I would think it is much more gradual but I am only guessing.

    FTR, allowing small changes will make your corals less sensitive to swings in the event of an emergency, such as a power outage. :)
