    Am on my way to my lfs in a few, to get some test kits, the test kits i have now are Alk,ph,nitrite and amm. am going to pick up a cal kit, is there anything else am missing

    am back from my LFS and this is what i got

    2X 25LB Bag marine sand 21.99
    1x 5LB caribbean live sand 9.99 (am going to use this to seed the other sand)
    red sea calcium pro test kit 16.99


    i was going to buy a red cucumber, but i remember someone told me not to buy something without doing my research ;D
    so that all i got

    Put the "dead" marine sand on the sides and the live sand in the middle, so it seeds the sandbed from both sides. It might be better to spread it out, but I'm not really sure about that.

    i was thinking to lay it on top of the marine sand? good or bad idea

    Your tank needs to be peaceful and mature to keep a cuke.

    I have started using Elos test kits and love them, real easy to use.

    test cal it it is 400 ppm i believe that is something to be happy about
