Test kits!

    I'm finishing up my API kits for pH, ammonia, nitrite and nitrate and will be trying Salifert's kit for those 4. I use Salifert for Ca and Mag. I use Oceanic (I think) for Alk.

    Like That Guy, I'm a bit colorblind too, and if the color changes aren't dramatic, I'm kinda in the dark. I only use the API kits when my wife is there to back me up.

    I've never seen or heard of Elos, but if Otty likes them and Luna has heard good things about them, I'll try them out eventually.

    Red Sea Mag kit is what I use, along with API for every thing else.
    I have an Iodine kit (forget the brand) but haven't used it yet.

    Im telling you if you have a hard time with seeing the color changes then Elos test kits are the way to go! Elos is top notch you should check out their tanks and equipment! I wish i could afford it LOL!! If i had the cash it would be the first time i would spend more money to downgrade in size!!
