FedEx was late as usual so I bought the new lights home to see how they stack up. I purchased 1 AquaticLife 48” HID T-5 setup and the powered RO unit. They caught my attention (well they looked neat) and figured what the heck. I’ll post some pics after I get back from dinner on the packaging and what is all included with the sets. I’ll also put some pros and con’s that I find. If anyone has any test that they want me to try just posting them and I’ll try to get them done. I guess they have used this design in Germany for almost 2 years now. I also have a 55 sitting around that I might put it on and see how it does with clams and Acro.

The round things in bubble wrap are the cables for hanging it, took me 10 min to unwrap and run, also like the protectors for the T-5's. Placed it ontop of the empty 55 in the basement took an extra 10 min to put the feet on to sit on the tank, fits like a glove. Oh ya all of the tools you need except the screwdriver are mounted on the unit.

I'll put a better pic of the timer on tomorrow think you will get a kick out of it has 3 settings on , timer and off. you can set the run time for each set ie. Lunars on at 5am-7am then T-5's on at 6:45am till 7pm and MH on at 7am till 6:45 pm pretty neat in my book. Also forgot to add you can point the MH's thats what the 2 pics in the middle are showing.

Started setting up the 55 for it today, lol well I was looking for a stand guess and old 45H stand will do for now (little short but this is not a per setup so it will be fine). The new RO is working fine 1:1 ration used 2 1 gal milk to messure it. I would say it is dang close to 1:1 ratio. I'll do pics on wed. So far I would give it a 4 of 5 on set up. Same with the ro unit.

OK they have been running for a bit now with no major problems.
But as always there are little things I would like to see diffrent.
    1. not a big one for me but the clock on the timer is a 24hr clock. (If you can't figure it out sell your tank)
    2. the LEDs to me seem to be bright as hell, I'll get pics up tomorrow of that
    3. Dosen't fit realy well on a 55 about 1 inch to wide.
    4. put another set of t-5's in it you got the room (wish list)

this is the bad list I'll give you the good list tomorrow with pics, I have nothing in the tank except water because well I just set the dang thing up. Also I am going to get a friends PAR meter to get some reading tomorrow after noon. I have them for about 1 more week then they have to go to the Bros shop for a display. So I better get with it lol.
