Anything that measures nitrates, nitrites, and pH. Since your cycling something to measure ammonia would be nice, but if your measuring nitrites and nitrates then it's not necessary. I know a lot of people don't like them, but for starting purposes you can use the dip stick tests. Just make sure that any other testing kits you get are good ones. (Salifert is one of the best, but they're pricey)

Ditto on what mandarin11 said. Since your still cycling, all you need is a ammonia, nitrites, nitrates, PH and salt.

during cycling all you really need is NH3,4 but Ca,dKH,Mg would also help. if your NH3,4 goes over 1ppm i suggest a 20% water change

    Tester Kit

Got my test kit today (OceanMaster)
    Ammonia: 0.0
    PH: 7.8
    Nitrate: 10
    Alkalinity: 3 (mEq/L)
Nitrite: here it made no color change at all (looks clear) so should i test again or does it mean 0
    Salinity: 1.020
    Temp: 78.8
    Calcium: 400mg/L(ppm)
so does this mean i'm ready for some fish :cheesy:
