    just testing out an extension tube i got with my macro lens and no compressed image sharing... (i hope this works :) )

    That is just flat out ridiculous!! How in the heck do you take such astonishing photos???? No doubt in my mind, one of the coolest macro's I have seen in a long time, please continue :)

    hehe thanks :) If you saw how many photos i throw away in comparison to how many i keep you would understand. A few things i find that helps with macros is to turn all the flow off in the tank...then feed the corals so that you get good polyp extension, dont use the flash, use a tripod, and take A LOT of the same exact photo so you have a better shot at getting a keeper. It also helps to have a DSLR w/ a macro lens but you can get good photos with a point and shoot as well. If you are using a dslr than shoot in RAW image format at the highest resolution setting. This will allow the most attenuation during post processing.

    BTW that is a ORA blue tort. It has the best polyp extension of any SPS coral in my tank. Its polyps are out like that 24/7 (which is why i used it as the test subject)
