On many postings references have been made to testing the Mag, Iodine, and silicates. Are there kits for these specific tests? If so, where do you get them. Oh, and how important is it, really?

Mg. is important and iodine is if your adding supplement that contain it. Go to Premium Aquatics and look up test kits. Salifert is what I use and it is easy with no color charts to get lost in.

I never test for iodine at home or work I never add it I have yet found a need for Iodine unless I wanted algae to bloom. Wasted test kit and money.. DKH , Calcium and Magnesium and take that Iodine money and get a Phosphate test kit..
