    Either I'm actually as dumb as I look after all or this is really the only way to see if I got my signature taken care of. Either way, its the method I went with so bear with me folks, I'm a work in progress.

    To get the preview of your changes:
    Go to the usercp link in the top nav. Then you will see the 'edit signature' link. At the bottom of that page you will see the 'preview signature' link. That will show you your changes.
