The desktop aquariums keep coming and I am enjoying the innovations in filter and light integration lately. The new Tetra Waterfall Globe 1.8 Gallon Aquarium kit take a fish bowl and intergrates a filter with waterfall return capped with a LED light hood.

“The Waterfall Globe Aquarium gives hobbyists, with limited space, the opportunity to experience the soothing sights and sounds of freshwater fish,” commented Curt Nuenighoff, Director of Marketing - Environments for United Pet Group Aquatics. “This unique product provides movement through a waterfall, which will improve the overall health of the fish while offering the fishkeeper a distinct visual experience through beautiful, white LED’s.”

    • Crystal Clear glass Tetra aquarium with unique waterfall features
    • Tetra pump driven filter with cartridge
    • Bright white LED lights
    • Stylish black base with light arm
    • Single power cord operates both the light and filter

I wonder if you could fit some better LEDs up in that cover, should already have plenty of flow as small as it is. LOL, my wife would kick my BUT!

This is cool. I've been eyeing small setups for a FW tank for my desk at the Big Serious Bank. I'd love to go reef, but I need the ability to take time away from the office without worrying about calcium, alkalinity, and all the things we reef keepers worry about.

Some neon tetras and a hardy live plant would make this setup perfect.
