    Hello to all.. i found this link awhile ago.. and wanna hear some input on this rock good or bad i dont mind... I have seen it in many Fresh water applications with Ciclids and so on but has anyone used it yet in a Reef system..??

    Have seen it here in LFS--Once coraline covers it you can hardly tell the difference.

    That stuff looks BA. It is CaCO3, so technically it is the same composition as Aragonite, but a different crystal lattice, so I don't know exactly what the effects of that are.

    I have seen plenty of reef tanks running texas holey rock. Nothing wrong with it at all ;) I believe Peredhil here on 3Reef is using it in his 55. Probably a few others as well. Some say it has a slightly lowered buffer capacity, but I am not sure if that is true or not. Definitely fine for a reef tank though.

    Outstanding.... i have a 180gal i am plannin to plugg in the near future when we move in our new house so i am takin lots of note's and idea's to create the Franken Tank..!! hahaha..
