Its more then likely too late to do anything about these because if you look closly you can make out a little body, the blurred part behind the big silvery eyes.

Anybody know anything about raising them?

10 gal tank with a sponge filter, looks like theyre about ready to hatch. Ive heard of alot of sucess latley feeding with cycploeze (spelling...?). 2-3 feedings a day with 2 60% water changes every day.....basically the same as clown fish.

cycploeeze is the second food. Rotifers are the first. But I am in not prepared for this. If I can get ahold of my buddy matt that raises clowns, I can get some from him hopefully.... If I am able to raise them at a later date and they keep spawning likes this, there is atleast 300 eggs there, so if 50% make it thru the morph phase, thats like 150 damsels...

They all hatched sometime last night after lights out. Everyone was consumed by the tank in some way... I guess the filter feeders are full now, haha... I spoke to my friend that raises clowns and he said the strain of rotifers that they use is to big for damsel larvae. I cant find any real conclusive info on the net about it. So who knows.

hey since i saw this post i just realized my chromis might be laying eggs too. i was doing some maintance on the tank i notice that one of the chromis is cleaning off a piece of the rock never seen them do that before, is that a sign of spawning?? cause i did read up on some clown fish breeding sites they say that one off the fish will prepare for the eggs by cleaning off a piece of rock..... i might be wrong but what do u guys think???

Clownfish do that, but I don't know about chromis, thats a different family of fish, damsels and clowns are closely related.

If you ever set up a tank to spawn them again ? Take some hard boiled egg yolk and squeeze it through a old Panty hose that will get them or any fish I ever bredd up to eating a larger food. But not in the main tank unless you diatom it 24/7 and change some water daily.
