I have a couple of friends that lost their houses and other friends whose parents lost their houses. I have tons of friends that have minor damage to vehicles and houses. Just a couple of miles away where I am, the storm was so boring that I went inside to watch TV....go figure. We didn't even lose power.

The weather forecast is a little concerning. We are apparently in a weather cycle where every day through Wednesday, conditions are perfect for more tornados every day. We have flash flood warnings as well. We all had to practice tornado drills in public schools on a regular basis and it apparently worked. There have been no deaths and only minor injuries around the city.

A couple of the houses were leveled. They are actually using chains of snow plows to clear debris off of interstates and major roads. There's just too much to chainsaw away.

yeah the damage around here is horrible......like inwall said our area was fine, however few miles away at the airport roof lifted off, glass shattered, airplanes moved. The airport is closed indefinately. Bridgeton, Florissant (where we were but no damage here), Ferguson, St Charles all got hit very bad. The pictures of the damage of the houses are extensive.......houses completely gone and flattened. It is amazing that there were no deaths and only a few minor injuries.

We have battery pumps for the tanks, we are running the AC ice cold right now in case we loose power in the days to come. Our cell phones are fully charged. They are saying tomorrow into Monday morning are going to be the heaviest storms, but everyday storms are going to hit.

After driving seeing the damage with my own eyes Vs only seeing it on TV, I'm amazed that there were no serious injuries. This tornado did so much damage it's amazing. Seeing all of the pictures of my friends and their families destroyed homes, it makes one feel very blessed that nothing bad happened to their own house.

It must've been a bad series of storms. It made my local news. The video of the destruction was very sad.

Yeah, they storms have been insane here the past few days. Glad you St. Louis guys are OK. Rolla has been getting some pretty good storms and my parents house in Warrenton received 4in diameter hail. Did you guys see Reed Timer from Stormchasers on the Discovery channel was in the area chasing the storms?
