Wow. Sorry to hear about all the damage guys.

I worked the Greensburg S&R and cleanup. I have never seen destruction like that. I would not have believed the amount of damage was possible if I wasn't seeing it myself.

Best of luck to you guys.

No offense, but that's just not how nature rolls.

We may not have tornados here in Cali, but we won't be very glad to be living here if the San Andres faults or the faults up north become active.

Sorry to hear about your Community.

1.0 Reef.........Wow!!! Don't you know that my friends houses were destroyed because their sacrifices were considered insufficient by The Tornado God? That's why my house was completely safe. My sacrifice was good enough.

Yeah, I knew he was here plus a lot of others. There's a ton of them here right now again because tonight has conditions favorable for round 2.

People who live in St. Louis don't take this stuff sitting down. This weekend was time for us to call friends and check on everyone. Today, it is time to clean up. My church set up this relief organization after the flood of '93 destroyed large portions of this city (We were good at it and we've done disaster relief nationwide since). Home, Service International - Pastor Jeff Perry Quite a few other churches are joining with us as are community groups and individuals.

This is a very insensitive statement...........there are many other St. Louis members on this site that have not been heard from yet. We do not know if they lost everything from their house to their car. Perhaps they have been injured? When you are your age, it might seem like a cool cliche........oh it is revenge from the earth due to all the destruction we have done...... However when you or somebody you know has lost EVERTHING they have worked all their life for in a matter of minutes it is truley a sad time. We were very fortunate here, but the devestation of others not only here in St. Louis but world-wide recently is not natures revenge, it is an unfortunate force of nature. I think next time you just post a blanket statement to someone elses post you think about it a little bit more

That is AWESOME of you!!! I really appreciate the offer but I'm sure there are charities in Arizona that can put all of those goods to good use (plus you'll get a tax deduction).

At times when I'm watching the news, sadness overtakes me when I see some of the horrible things that people are capable of. I'm very thankful that there are days when my faith in humanity is restored. I'll give you a couple of examples. Yesterday, someone I haven't seen in 30 years apparently just moved before their old house was put on the market. They contacted me and offered to take their old house off the market and give it to a family temporarily. Another person did something I had never thought of. They offered to bring out their metal collector and help people find their jewelry. There is a group that is stockpiling all photographs and personal papers. The Maryland Heights community center needed tools, work gloves, and other clean-up supplies and they actually had to tell people to STOP bringing supplies because people brought so much. Because of damage at some Pattonville schools, they had to close for the day yesterday. Numerous Pattonville sports teams didn't stay home and watch TV...instead they helped remove trees and debris from stranger's homes. Off-duty firefighters were helping clear brush.

Thank you so very much! This is a very generous offer but like Inwall said our community is very fortunate. This is the second major storm system we had this year with damaging tornados. We had one in south county on New Years eve that touched down and now this one on Good Friday. It is a miracle that nobody was seriously injured when you see the amount of destruction that has occured, especially when you consider it kept jumping over a major interstate such as I-70. Within a few miles of where it hit, 70 connects with 2 other big interstates I-270 and I-170. It is truly a miracle nobody got killed!

Fortunately all the insurance companies have set up tents in all the hit areas, and organizations such as Red Cross, Salvation Army and Service International have done a fantastic job getting all the necessary supplies to people. Unfortunately our community has gone through a lot in the past......flooding, tornados etc.

I just heard on the way to work today Arkansas was hit and was not as fortunate as we were and I want to send my thoughts and prayers to them as at least 7 people were killed overnight in a tornado

Danny took some awesome photographs in/near Harmann Estates. The church I went to as a child got destroyed (the one without the roof, not the one that has the steeple).
