We were lucky again. There was a wide variety of storms within this storm. Some people were getting rain and wind (me), while 2 miles away, there were very high winds and hail. Meanwhile in other parts of the city, baseball sized hail was taking out windows right and left. Here's some pictures. Hail in St. Louis | News | St. Louis Post-Dispatch

Man, I hope you stay safe over there. The weather in that part of the country is just insane this year it seems. I can't believe all the twisters... I'll take a hurricane once every 10 years in my parts than tornado's like the mid US has any day hah. God bless you man, hope the tank its doing well!

I have lived near Chicago for almost ever and heard very few sirens. Now I'm down here for uni and holy cow the siren went off like 5 times in an hour. There were tornadoes all over but I don't think there was much destruction. I guess I'll find out in the morning. Didn't they say that there were like twice as many tornadoes this year than last?

My prayers go out to those out west/south in these troubled times. I hope for a speedy recovery. God Bless.

They were getting all sorts of little hail and then one big piece of hail came down. This is really nothing though. Down in South County, every single car at the car dealership is really ruined (broken glass and real big dings).

BTW, what I described as really high winds 2 miles away with hail turned out to be another tornado.

    Inwall,
Here in Ohio we are feeling the effects of what you are going through though not at severe. (a couple tornado's, many fallen tree branches, power outages et..). Hopefully, everything turns out alright and that no one else will get hurt.

Thoughts and prayers go out to those that live in your area.

That was one big chunck of ice.. O_O

We also had some power outages and fallen trees close by my area. We got hail for like 15minutes but nothing compared to that..
