    so ive had constant issues with foster and smith ranging from customer service to completly damaged products has anyone else had any serious issues with them? i decided to go in state for now on with that pet place there alot more friendly and seem like they really know what there talking about as to fosters customer service just pulls up the web page for there knowledge

    problems with foster
    outdated t5 bulbs
    broken chemical bottles on arrival
    outdated product photos
    selling old models of equipment while advertising the new model
    outdated test kits
    bad packaging
    lack of customer care i bought a water changer also and it exploded in my house and i was assured this wouldent happen before purchasing but yet nothing was done not a store credit not a im sorry just a lame excuse

    has anyone else really had any issues like this? i think im 100% done ordering with them i went out of state to get better quality but i think thatpetplace might be just as good if not better hopefully

    if anyone else could chime in and give there experience thatd be helpful

    Never had any customer service problems with DFS. They replaced any damaged product that arrived.

    No, they seem to be pretty good to me. No issues here really. I did get a small coral once from their liveaquaria store, but they gave me a credit for the difference in price. Dry good have always been as advertised.

    they were pretty good at first they were quick with solving issues and as more problems came up the blame was put on me for damaged arrivals and they just seemed like they dident want to take any blame i have to admit i thought i made a good decision in ordering with foster and i really regret it at this point the manager i spoke to were really nasty i think cindy? i explained all the damaged products i received over my last 3 orders and she stated that i would be issued a 175 dollar credit when i never asked for any credit it was done with alot of sarcasm and attitude which i dont appreciate i havent had any experience with live orders with them but i hope its different than there dry goods

    I have yet to have an issue with them, In all honesty never had anything come broken as well. And I have had 33 T5 bulbs shipped to my house periodically... Heck they even took back my year and half old marineland stealth heater and issued me my money back...

    For working customer service at my job periodically, It makes it easier for me to be Polite, I understand you can be angry about issues, but If you take it out on people. People are gonna be less apt to help you back.

    Regardless, I have no experience with that pet place. And probably have spent well over 20 grand with foster and smith... So...

    I don't exactly. Live Aquaria and Pet Solution come from the same place. Diver's Den is all on site and the quality is much higher.

    It's Foster smith inc. I'm sure it's a different buisness unit though, but I'd assume upper management is the same. Just pointing out I have had good luck with all the Foster Smith co's. also the dog and cat unit.
