Happy to report water line is right where I left it this morning. Encouraging.

Took a look this morning - some 24 hours after setting it last and it was holding nice and skimming. Pretty happy at this point.

I ran out of ATO water this morning so should dip a bit and then have to settle up tonight when I add more. See how it handles that..

Hey Matt, I talked with the Cadlight guys they said two layers of teflon works just as well. I got a short video of their booth for you too. Shin and I were hoping you would have stopped by!

Matt, I bought one of these at the Denver Reefstock event over the weekend. After a vinegar bath, and the belt mod, I put it in my frag tank. The thing spews microbubbles like crazy. I was hoping it was just a new break in thing but the bubbles seem to be getting worse and not better. Any Ideas?

That is just the break in period. It will settle down.
It still does that to me briefly on restarts but then mellows out. Give it time.

Hahah.. now that is a great idea! I want to try that. With just the right amount it is probably easier to adjust too.

I'd still like to see an acrylic solution that holds it in place and makes it easy to adjust in 1/16" increments but until then they should ship it with teflon and instructions.

Thanks Matt. I made a more permanent stand for the skimmer tonight so it sits in about 7.5 inches of water. The micro bubbles are cut in half. Hopefully they will be gone in a week.

Cool. I have a simple piece of acrylic propped up against my sump pump that acts like a deflector shield from skimmer bubbles. FYI

    Holding strong. Skimming well.
