    great looking set up

those tank walls make me feel guilty about the state of mine though
coraline on the rock, scraper and wavemaker
but some very good housekeeping on the sides and back glass I imagine

    Thanks lukabrasi.

Steve, don't feel guilty, we don't do much glass cleaning and there's one whole area we cant reach at all in the back...oddly, there's no coralline on the glass anywhere. On plastic and acrylic there is, but none on the glass...well, except the thermometer in the fuge.

Thanks, Exactly. My boyfriend does all the dosing, I have no idea what of the 2-part he's dosing or how much right now. I finally gave up on trying to help in that area, cuz he doesn't listen to me LOL. The only time he listened to me was when the snails started falling over because the mag was too high (which wouldn't have happened if he'd listened to begin with LMAO).

We use a 4-part salt mix that has everything in it, which from what I've been able to tell when he STOPS dosing keeps everything where it needs to be. That's why the mag got too high, he kept dosing when it wasn't needed. I finally made him learn to do the tests, because I got tired of being asked to do it every other day when the levels were out of whack due to the dosing. It's a sore subject!

This is his first SW tank experience. He originally bought this tank for me to "have something to do" and said I'd have to teach him.

So far it goes something like this:

    - He buys 4 different kinds of used lights before settling for what I told him to buy in the beginning.
    - I told him no livestock for 3 months, then I come home from work month 2 & there are 3 emerald crabs in the tank.
    - We go to buy our 2nd coral for the tank in month 3 and when I walk over to the next aisle he has 4 fish already bagged up.
    - He decides I need to start dosing 2-part, I told him I didn't think it was necessary with only some zoas & 1 tiny LPS in the tank (I was already dosing calcium). He buys it & bugs me for a month to dose, I tell him he bought it, he doses it LOL.
    - I do all the testing until I write down instructions for him and make it clear he can test parameters himself. Now he tests & doesn't tell me what anything is LOL.
    - He said a couple months ago that in the fall (after vacation is paid for & done) we'll get a 125 g tank. There's now a 140 sitting in the garage. He's been bugging me about used tanks for 2 months LOL.

    - I do the top off, the feeding (he feeds 3 cubes of the stuff I told him they won't eat), the placement of new corals that are floating in the tank when I get home from work, and the aquascaping.

Can you tell we've been together a while?::)
