....I vasilated between the Marineland overflow and the All Glass 90...difference being the Marinelands "Box" is in the corner, while the AlGlasses's "Box" is centered...

I can make an argument for either:
IMO the aestetics of a box in the coners is slightly less "intrusive", but the AllGlass design has symetry
...and from my experience with this Marineland, makes me wish everything underneath was centered (its a semi- PITA having the output on the same end as the input)

...also I'm noticing most people elect for either a blue back or none....again another thing I vasilated on because the light reflecting back into the tank is no small matter (and IMO grossly under appreciated)...

...still I went with black, even knowing the reflected lumens are lowered...believe it or not, IME a black background gives a tank "depth" (I realize thats totally counterintuitive)...but this is a minor detail because if all things go well, the coraline growth makes the entire issue moot...

P.S. I've asked this before, but doesn't it seem that coraline algae "seems" attractd to dark plastic objects or at least seems to have a "preferance" for certain surfaces over others, or is that just how it seems?

Congrats exactlobp, I think you just need to have a bio-film coat everything then the haze seems to disappear.
