    does anyone know the Anemone in Finding Nemo.

    the one right when the movie first starts.


    i really want to start looking at them. and found out how much they cost and everything.

    i want over a friends house and he has one and it looks great. but he does not know the name of it. can anyone help me out.

    Can't help you with the name of it..never seen the movie..but anemones will run anywhere between 50 and a couple hundreds dollars depending on the size/species/quality.

    BUT.

    Before you fork over the cash...PLEASE do your research before getting one. I have heard of/seen way too many that enter someone's tank and only last a week or so. They should only be cared for by experienced reef keepers. Not saying you aren't..just please do your homework :)

    Yeah it's the Magnificent Sea Anemone AKA, Ritteri Anemone

    It's not very hardy at all. From what I've read it's one of the most difficult to keep.

    ouch! i'd have to be pretty experienced to keep that then. maybe start off with a bubble tip anemone? but seriously; if you don't do your homework that anemone will die, kind of like if you don't do homework in school you get a bad grade.

    i always thought that it was the rose buble tip anemone. either one looks very close to the nem in the movie. buble tips are one of the more hardy nems. BUT!!! DO NOT BUY IT WITHOUT RESEARCH! they are NOT for begginers.
