I have 37 used tanks and sumps and bioballs that I want to clean before we put saltwater in them. They are filled with water and running but just for leak test.

what is the best way to clean them?

    Thanks,
    C.J.

I use a 3:1 water bleach ratio to clean anything used. Works great and always comes out looking brand new.

I like the vinegar option if you still have the test water in the system. Bleach would be a little worrisome because you would have to get all the water out of the entire system and let it dry out after.

so how much vinegar would you use.
The tanks are not real dirty.

Should I just add some to the water and let it run for a day or two?
or remove all the water and srub with vinegar and water?

You would have to also remove all the vinegar from what I understand as well. Are you able to stop the water from running for a few days?
