Cool, the tank looks nice, Dingo.

Really? It's not sad, it's genius...inexpensive alternative ti a new tank.

Who are you to insult him anyway? If you don't like it, simply don't make a tank like that? Or just Don't comment at all???

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
There was a thread quite a few months back on a similar set up, it was stunning. Once they start to fill it's beautiful, wish I could remember the exact thread. I like the way you can just look down, it really adds to the color and if you add some clams it makes for very nice view, same goes for the scolies.

That is a pretty sweet set-up. Back when I was more green, I'd thought this would be super cool to do myself. But I couldn't conceive in my head, at the time, how I'd be able to make it work. I'm not so eager now to have/do it all, I've learned that patience is definitely key. Anyway, congrats and thanks for sharing!!

Btw, what light did you say you were using? How high is it above the water? I don't think I saw it in those pics...

Hahaha and who exactly are you to judge?
An attitude like that will get you nowhere around here so you can pack up and go back to the forums where people only try for one-upping everyone else because it makes you feel better about yourself... Or change your attitude

250w radium on a light mover

That would be my friend Darin... I believe his screen name is dweakl?

It is elevated quite high... I would say about 2.5 feet and on a light mover. Water depth is about 11"

very cool indeed!!! :p makes me want to do it, however i have it extrictly prohibited to have another tank in the house.. LOL

you should get a vortec wave maker for that!!

Looks really cool. I wanted to do something like this too or a really shallow long, wide tank. Any plans for fish in there? Some wrasses for pests?

Right now I have the k nanos on a wavemaker and I like it because they give me enough flow without ripping up the surface and distorting the view. I have two mp20's around so I'll see if I can dial them down enough to still get the flow without the surface rippling!

I am probably not going to add rock... Its only 11" deep and the rocks will just take away from the available acro space :p but I'm patient so give it a year and all these pieces will be nice and grown in ;)
