What model of Reef Octopus Skimmer? Most run well in 9" -11" of water. For powerheads, you can't go wrong with EcoTech's Vortech pumps (MP40W ES), or Tunze. Koralias are a nice powerhead if on a tighter budget. And finally, the planted tank...I am of zero help here.

Amazing work! The tanks look beautiful :)

As far as wavemakers, I would suggest you keep your plan of getting a couple (few?) Jebao WP40s. I have two in my 125 and love them! You would probably need between 2-4 for your 200 gallon tank depending on if you will be housing corals or not.

    What a fantastic build. 8)
That was a lot of effort and stressful but that view from your drawing room has to make it worth it.

Sorry to hear about the kessil issue, but what you have looks nice. What happened with the solatubes?

Absolutely beautiful!! I love how you have them next to each other, creates such a beautiful contrast in underwater worlds! As for your questions the only one I can offer help with is the skimmer. I have a Reef Octopus that I put together recently and I remember the instructions being almost NO help! I found though that there's a black line across it under where it says "Reef Octopus" and that is the height you want your water level to be at.
