    We have a friend here who had a school for a year. We asked him how he did it & he said he cheats & adds more when they get low LOL.

    I have 3 viridis chromis. I am one of the fortunate ones to not lose all but one. I started with 5 and only 2 died. Had the 3 for close to 18 months. I will check my LFS next time for species mixing.

    I have had 2 for over 3 years.....started with 5 LOL But these 2 are like glued to each other

    Maybe the problem is not necessarily two different species, but too few to begin with? I mean, in the wild they are usually in massive schools. I would think to be successful, you would need to have a minimum of 10-12, preferably more. Just my two cents worth.

    Personally, I would agree with Jodah. They arent that sensitive of fish in comparison to many others so it's strange that so many aquarists have such high mortality rates with these fish. I have heard many people who have kept them successfully say a minimum of 5 chromis, but often that number doesnt stay at five. lol When in groups larger than 10 they seem to do best, especially when at a younger age. But I think Louis is onto something with the species mixing. Very interesting. Thanks for posting buddy.
