I was starting to wonder where you went... but now that your back I am very happy to hear that you are doing okay. I am happy that everything ended up alright, even though your tank is in bad shape it will quickly rebound.

nice to see you back finally :)

Wow....did you get a granuloma on your knuckle? It took a good 6 months to get back full movement in my left wrist after an injury (not from an urchin).

I'm certainly not happy that this happened to you. However, I'm happy that, as a result of this happening, you're refocusing on what is more important. Take care of yourself so that you can be there for your family (even if you don't want to take care of yourself for yourself).

    Incredible story Crimson Ghost

glad you are through the worst of it now

I can empathise with your feelings of needing to be there to see project through to completion, it would have been more difficult to walk away from something that you had already invested so much time and effort into

hope you do manage to avoid future incidents of such work related intensity

I forget who I am quoting here, but someone once said

On a death bed, nobody says "I wish I had spent more time at work"
they say more time with family, more time on holiday, visiting more places etc

    Good quote, Steve.

Sorry to here this has happened to you, but it sounds like things are beginning to turn around. The trip to Hawaii should help. :) Now you can focus on family & the things you love most!

Sorry to hear about your troubles. Thanks for sharing and sending a warning to all about what is most important. Continue healing and best of luck with the tank. Good to have you back posting and still alive.

Thank you all. I put this here to admit my stupidity to my friends ..... I can't really discuss it with my family and "in person" friends as the conversation always just turns to badgering me rather than anyone listening. so I don't address the conversations in person any longer.

I took some pictures of my tank over run with the cabbage, embarassing but I will upload and post later.

I know what you mean...but they're scared to loose you and are feeling powerless...so though they mean well they need to learn better coping mechanisms.... (the badgering would stress me out)

Glad to see you pulled through and hope that you have a relaxing and fun vacation.

Thanks for the info about the urchin spines...Looking foreward to the write up.

Oh my gosh!!! I was wondering where you went and was so excited to see you posting yesterday. Please take it easy!

I'm so glad you're okay. Focusing on your reef will be a nice distraction. Have fun scuba diving!! :) Make sure you bring us back some pictures!
