i havent had experience with chromis, i just know damsels can be very aggressive to a new fish in the tank. in my experiance anyway.

just dont let the damsels settle in to much before adding another fish i guess would be my advise.

Ya that explains it. Ok forget the 3 striped.

    The official yes list:
    Yellow Tail Damsel
    Blue Chromis
    Green Chromis
    Vanderbuilt Chromis

    The official no list:
    3 striped damsel
    Blue and gold damselfish

What about black and white chromis?

looks like you got some really great input. Nobody commented on this so I will.

not sure what you are thinking here - so just wanted to check... how much your fish grow is not contingent on the size of the tank. For the vast majority of fish, this is a myth. fish can and will outgrow tanks that are too small.

Not an issue with the fish you picked as far as i can tell, just wanted to mention it.

Sorry and thanks for bringing this up so theres no confusion. Im on my blackberry right now, was typing a little too fast. Meant to say *and* they wont grow that much. And in stead of so. Thanks for pointing that out, and ya, ive heard that stupid myth from plenty of ignorant people ;)

Ok heres the list that it looks like im going with:
    Yellow Tail Damsel
    Blue Chromis
    Green Chromis
    Vanderbuilt Chromis
    Black and White Chromis

So lets talk quantity now. Are we looking at 1 of each? if not, please quote the list and write the quantity next to each of the species. Due to the price fluctuations, please only mark up the quantity of either green chromis or yellow tail. sorry, the other ones are just so pricy for a chromis.

Thanks for helping me out everyone, karma will be distributed! you were all a great help

i would say one each. that's as many fish as I have in my 55

being chromi's (mostly), you're probably OK, but if it were me, I wouldn't get more than 4 in a 22 (including the YTDamsel)

ya now that i think about it that sounds good. So one each it is. These damn fish better not die for 24 bucks a piece! haha so looks like i can put the yellow tail in now and progress as the tank matures. Ill probably have all 5 in the tank within 8 months maybe more. I want to buy one every ***(unknown)*** but the problem is im not going to waste 30 bucks just to ship one chromis. And thats just per ****** so i gotta figure out what to do for that but other than that, it looks like im in the clear. Thanks again!
