Oh Dear i have that thing we all hate! Flatworm!!

Bit annoyed as in the past two years with this tank i've managed to be so safe i have avoided it! I don't understand where they have come from as i haven't added any coral or rock for a good 6 months!:confused:

Anywho, Flatworm exit is illegal in this country (chemical licensing laws) so i'm gonna have to get a scooter blenny! Don't really want to as it will over stock my tank - but you gotta do what you gotta do!

There is the yellowtail blue damsel option.

Do you have a lot? I've had them for the past few months, but their population is still small.. so I haven't made any drastic measures.. I'm hoping to starve them out.. I hope..

I don't actually - i have about 10 on the back wall. I didn't think you could starve them as they feed off light??
I guess what i should do is watch them and see whether their population shoots up or stays the same and then dwindles before i run out and put another fish in my tank.

I'm pretty sure Flatworms feed off nutrients in your tank, and some are parasitic.. most even hate light. Depends on what kinda flatworm you have. Flatworm exit is a drastic measure, try siphoning them out with a turkey baster. If their on your coral blow them off with the baster and chances are the filter will suck em up. I change my media after this. Of course you won't get all, but it'll keep their population down. Cheers!

I have/had the same problem. I've held them at bay with FW dips and taking them out by hand with a baby syringe. Luna

    I also hate tho's things.. !!
What color are they..?? From what I have learned.. the red ones are the bad ones..
The white ones will eat the red worms. And are not that bad for a tank. All that I have seen in my tank are white, which I remove anyway .. JMO

    Good Luck, Larry
