There wont be any problem with the cooling loop freezing here it gets cold here but not enough to freeze any thing under the house.
not sure how warm the green house will be on its own. but I'm thinking it wont get cold enough to freeze the tank .

i thought i mentioned it but looking back over the thread i see i didn't, the intent is to run this over the summer months and shut it down for the winter. ;) i think this will give me an 8 month run time.
this is just an experimental tank set up,just something to play with, i do have a regular frag tank already hooked to my twin display tank.

    salty water

well i have got to the point of adding salt water to the system, Waiting on a 12 volt thermostat controller to control the circulation pump now to continue on.

    can't stop

:stop: Well the wife won't let me set this aside, and is pushing me to carry on. :whip:
so here is some more input.
first i needed a thermostat to turn the pump in the cooling loop on and off.

a rather neat little item going to get one of these for on the main dt. 8)

I also needed more charging power for additional 12 volt circulation pumps so i built another solar panel. :sunny:

tried a different technique on this one.

and I'm on the second day of testing and here are the numbers so far.
    green house temps.
and the tank temps. and holding steady so far.

i think there may be a problem when we hit the next heat wave in the 100s. but i am working on a plan for that if needed. ;)

and one dirty tank with nothing but Cheeto. this is one thing heat doesn't seem to bother to much.

well off to brain storm some more with my freinds. :stupid:

Glad this is an experiment and the tank doesn't have any coral in it, the 12 volt pump i was testing has failed must have been a bum unit. :( i know it hasn't run the 30000 hours which is the life expectancy . i am now look into a replacement and checking on warranty options for the pump.

we be learning as we go :book2: being this set up is kind of out side the :square:
