    well, i believe my tank is looking pretty good, so now it is time to think about what to stock. my wish list is as follows for a 90g FOWLR:

    purple tang

    personifer or singapore angel (personifer if my store can get it at a reasonable price)

    snowflake eel (?)
    dwarf lionfish (?)
    maroon clown
    harlequin tusk wrasse (australia)
    lunare wrasse
    and... thats it. i am very open to suggestions, these are just the fish that i have a fondness for at this point in my young fish keeping career. the tank has only two blue damsels that are moving to my girlfriends tank once it has finished cycling. other than that, it is empty.

    out of the fish you listed the maroon, lion, and snowflake are good hardy fish. the harliquin tusk and lunar wrasse are on the mid or moderate list. one thing with the eel is make sure you have a lid that fits COMPLETELY over every area of the tank. eels are master escape artiste and can fit through the smallest area you wouldnt even realize. as far as angels and tangs they should be added to a tank thats been establised at least 6 mths old or a little more.

    as far as a clean up crew im not to sure because most of the fish you listed like shrimp and crabs maby you can get away with a few snails.

    [glow=Green, 1, 600]Hey Roger,

    Out of the list you have there, two of them, the lunare and the harlequin tusk wrasse are going to eat your clean up crew constantly. Shrimp, crabs, and snails are their main diets. They are both gorgeous fish, and both medium on the aggressive meter, but they aren't going to let a clean up crew live in your tank. Sorry. [smiley=uhoh2.gif]

    The rest of your list is great. I love both those angels. [smiley=angel.gif] They are two of the prettiest angels in the sea, IMO. As far as the eel, karla is absolutely right, tight lids are an absolute must!!!

    I think all of those fish will do well in a 90g as long as you get them small, and let them grow up in there. If you try to get jurveniles or adults, you could have some problems, particularly with the wrasses. But, if you focus on getting small fish (2" or less), you should be ok, no matter what order you introduce them.

    HTH!!!

    Hey Roger,

    There are other wrasses that you could add later that aren't quite as aggressive that you would love. I'll show you as we go along.

    I wouldn't do the "lawnmower blenny." They are too delicate in my book; I've lost too many in my years of keeping fish. Once they stop eating, there's no way to start them up again. And, with a purple tang in there, you need something a little more aggressive to compete for the algae.

    A Black Sailfin Blenny would be a good addition. I have one and I just love mine. Here's a picture; see if you like Tater:

    They eat a lot of algae, but they also eat other stuff too. Which means that they aren't as delicate as the lawnmowers. They are also aggressive enough to "hold their own" in a scrap. They won't start one, but they can defend themselves well.

    As far as a full-blown clean-up crew, I would take a look at this website. If you decide to go with them, tell JP that
    Wrassman sent you, he'll treat you right. [smiley=thumbs_up1.gif]

    fuzzy dwarf lionfish
    snowflake eel
    purple tang
    singapore/personifer angel
    marroon clown
    wrasse? what species? will all these fit in my tank happily? are there any wrasses that dont burrow and knock things over?

    [glow=Green, 2, 800]Hey Roger,

    I like your list. If it were me, I would leave off the lion. I believe they are more trouble than they are worth.

    For your tank, I would recommend a "Hogfish." It is a type of wrasse that does not burrow, and doesn't really knock things around (not any more than the angel or the clown). Here's a picture of a Cuban Hog from Fishbase.org:

    [glow=Red, 2, 800]But, there are a number of other Hogfish that are equally pretty. Go here and take a look at all the different hogfishes that they list. You can usually get your LFS to order the more "extraordinary" hogfishes if you ask. At least mine will. [/glow] [smiley=smart.gif]

    [glow=Blue, 2, 800]Good luck, and let me know what you come up with!!! [/glow] [smiley=thumbs_up1.gif]
